Salman Khan house firing case: Navi Mumbai police arrest accused from Haryana | Delhi News
NEW DELHI: Navi Mumbai police have arrested Sukha, an individual accused of plotting to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan.
Sukha was apprehended from Panipat, Haryana, police officials confirmed on Wednesday. He is set to appear before a court on Thursday after being brought to Navi Mumbai.
In June, police discovered a plan to target the actor near his farmhouse in Panvel.
This came after a firing incident outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence in April.
Salman Khan informed police earlier this year that he believed the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the firing, intending to kill him and his family.
The actor’s statement is included in the charge sheet filed by Mumbai police in court. Khan also mentioned that in January, two unidentified individuals with fake identities tried to trespass into his Panvel farmhouse.
In 2022, a threat letter was found near his building and in March 2023, an email threat was received from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Police reported that the Lawrence Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra gangs had about 60 to 70 members tracking Khan’s movements.
They conducted surveillance at his Bandra residence, Panvel farmhouse, and film shoots. Following specific information on the plot, a case was filed against several individuals at Panvel Town police station on April 24.
